“No matter how busy you may think you are, you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance.”
Reading is an extremely important thing to me. Not only is it entertaining, it is a tool to fight off aging and memory loss. I used to read fiction quite a bit, but have since grown out of it, as I gain more appreciation for the world around me. I make it a point to read each day, for at least a little while.
It is through reading that I have achieved my most significant gains in my understanding of anything. Not though movies. Not through conversation. Through the 12 ounces of paper and glue that I hold in my hand, I am able to expand my consciousness.
Without further ado, I give you the start of my library log. Over the years this list will grow in size, along with my mind. I look forward to looking back, and thinking about all I have gained.
If you ever care to look at the list, or to discuss any of the books I have read or am reading, you can find the link in my header menu. You can also view what I am currently reading, by looking at the right side of my site.
I am hoping to get a library built in my home down the road, and will post pictures of it.
